Our chefs prepare a splendid mix of Indonesian & Western cuisine especially suited for dining at sea. All meals are prepared on board, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. Our chefs personally do all the shopping before each trip, gathering from local Balinese markets and trusted suppliers.
Throughout your liveaboard diving experience, you can indulge in our cooks signature dishes served in the air-conditioned dining room or the salon. Weather permitting, we will serve under the stars, on deck in the al fresco area.
Trained by a top Belgian master-chef, our local chefs – Wayan & Made, ensure a sophisticated twist on the contemporary flavors of Indonesia. Seasoned by 10 years of meal preparation onboard Adelaar, they know precisely how to pamper our guests. Aromatic local specialties, paired with global cuisine, is guaranteed to soothe your palate. By the end of your 11 day journey, we are sure that you will agree that we have perfected the art of dining at sea!
Have a special request? Just let us know. Nothing is too much trouble for our two kitchen gurus. Since the galley is located just next to the dining room, you are welcome you into their domain anytime.
Afternoon snacks & cocktails or cake and coffee
For those who wish to abstain from the night dive in lieu of cocktail hour, a “must try” would be Agung’s famous Gin & Tonic. The secret is the small tart Bali limes, that he hand squeezes and rubs along the rim of the glass.
In addition, we have stocked ADELAAR’s bar with ice cold soft drinks, local Bintang beer, imported wines and liquor. We always have ice available.
