DEMA 2014 Las Vegas
Janice & Mary spent last weekend in the glitzy “Sin City” for the annual DEMA trade show, which attracts more than 9,000 attendees annually.
The expo filled the Las Vegas Convention Center with dive goodies, exotic travel destinations, training agencies, and all types of retail merchandise. The DEMA workshops and seminars were also pretty cool, a few were geared towards helping small businesses (like ourselves) juggle schedules between running dive trips and creating a social media presence.
This year’s show was probably one of the best attended, and the Indonesian Pavilion was one of the biggest in the hall! It was not only a great chance to promote our little slice of paradise, but it was also fantastic to so many familiar faces pop by to say “hi”!
A big thank you to the Ministry of Toursim for tirelessly manning the tourism booth and handing out brochures, and to the dance team from Manado who entertained attendees with their cultural performances. A special thanks to Ibu Rizki Handayani (Director) from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for attending the show to show her support in promoting Indonesia’s Marine Tourism at DEMA 2014 Las Vegas.
NEXT SHOW: If you live in Germany and are interested in attending a consumer dive show, we’ll also be attending the 46th International Boat show in Düsseldorf in January. We hope to see you there!
